ESICM - LIVES 2018

The European Society of Intensive Care Medicine is an Association of individual persons. Founded in March 1982 in Geneva, Switzerland, ESICM is a non-profit making international association.

ESICM supports and promotes the advancement of knowledge in intensive care medicine, in particular the promotion of the highest standards of multidisciplinary care of critically ill patients and their families through education, research and professional development.

ESICM’s annual congress, LIVES, attracts audiences of over 6,000 physicians, anaesthetists, trainees and nursing and allied health professionals, every year, from every continent and 97 different countries.

A world-renowned faculty of 300 international speakers will be joining the Society’s 31st annual congress at the Palais des Congrès, Paris from 20-24 October 2018.

In addition to a stimulating and exhaustive scientific programme, there will be over 60 poster corner sessions, 10 parallel scientific sessions, 12 master classes, 20 interactive sessions with live voting, 16 interactive debates, 18 sessions in the very popular Simulation Centre, NEXT Lounge and Tech Lounge, as well as the major congress exhibition and networking possibilities in our Members’ Lounge and the social programme.
