8th Jena Company Run - Septomics again at the start

The 8th Jena company run took place in brilliant sunshine and high summer temperatures. As in the years before, ZIK Septomics put together a team of running enthusiasts, which started together with more than 3100 participants from 330 companies, clubs, authorities and institutes on the 5 km long course in Paradies Park. Our congratulations go to Charles Neu, who finished 18th in the "Fastest Employee" classification at 20:00 min net running time. After the award ceremony and a short recovery, participants and spectators of the run could dance and celebrate extensively to the music of "Sandmen United & Septic Shockers", a band of members of the Clinic for Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, UKJ, and enjoy the warm summer evening in the VIP tent of FC Carl Zeiss Jena.

Again this year part of the starting fee was donated to social projects in the region. A total of € 2,500 went to the "Paten für Demenz" project of Jenaer Tausend Taten e.V. and € 500 to the "Hospiz- und Palliativstiftung Jena". In addition, the campaign "Your Pledge for a Hospice" raised additional donations that will benefit the palliative work in Jena.
